AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2 - A Short OverviewAs AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2 is nearing its completion, those attending the international level seminars tend to be familiar with the ethical foundation, and each of the eleven individual topics within this series. However, this paper has been selected as one of the top ten topics in Africa. In this article, we will explore the strengths and weaknesses of this topic and take a look at some of the features of this level of research.Ethics is central to all research conducted by AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2. Within the seminar circuit, the ability to communicate their research and view it from a wider perspective of an international setting is a great asset to any researcher.The complexity of a subject is reflected in the number of topics that have been included within AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2. However, these eleven topics have all been included in order to bring the perspectives and advice available to all involved to a wider audience.In many ways, all of the research reports and blogs about this topic are similar to other AICE Global Perspectives Papers. The similarities are the basis for the unique way in which AICE differentiates itself.The strongest aspect of AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2 is the experience of participation within the seminar circuit. By attending AICE World Seminars, participants can sit down and read through this report and experience it from the perspective of an international participant. The benefit is that they can understand more about the issues involved and are likely to engage with the research in a way that is unfamiliar to them.Despite the diverse diversity of themes included within AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2, the relevance of each theme is key. This report includes five main focus areas, and each of the themes offer information and perspective that are relevant to practitioners and researchers. In order to succeed within this seminar, participants shou ld not only be familiar with the main themes, but should also feel confident that they can see the impact and conclusions of each one of them.The weakness of AICE Global Perspectives Paper 2 is a problem with the identification of a title. While the overall structure and content remain the same, the title does not really tell you what the report is about, and in fact, the structure does not really set out a clear argument or philosophy for the reader.Overall, whilst all AICE Global Perspectives Paper topics are related, they do not link together well in this seminar. For a stronger and more cohesive theme, a seminar such as this needs to be more comprehensive and the format should be expanded upon.
